This page describes how ATON TECH s.r.l. handles data collected through aton-tech.it. The website does not use profiling cookies and does not build profiles of its visitors.

Usage statistics (Umami Analytics)
This website uses Umami Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool self-hosted by ATON TECH. Umami does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not perform fingerprinting. The data collected is anonymous and aggregated: visited page, referrer, browser type, operating system, country at aggregated level and screen resolution. Legal basis: legitimate interest in measuring website performance (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
Anti-bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)
To protect the conversational assistant from automated abuse, the website loads Cloudflare Turnstile, an anti-bot verification service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When the assistant is opened, the user's browser communicates with Cloudflare and transmits technical data such as IP address, browser identifiers, request headers and behavioural signals required to distinguish a human user from a bot. According to Cloudflare's documentation, Turnstile does not use tracking cookies and is not used to profile users or for advertising purposes. Legal basis: legitimate interest in the security of the service (Art. 6.1.f GDPR). Transfers outside the EU rely on Cloudflare's Standard Contractual Clauses and Data Processing Addendum. Conversational assistant (AI chatbot)
The website provides an AI conversational assistant that the user explicitly activates by clicking the relevant button. The website chat is anonymous and does not require registration or authentication. When the user opens the chat and submits a message, the message text is transmitted to ATON TECH systems (ai-platform.aton-tech.it) and from there to Google Gemini, a language model provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland), acting as data processor for the sole purpose of generating the answer. Chat contents and related technical metadata are retained in ATON TECH systems for the time strictly necessary to the operation, security and improvement of the service, and for the defence of legal claims. ATON TECH does not use conversation contents to train public models and does not share them for commercial purposes. Users are advised not to include sensitive or confidential personal data in the messages. Legal basis: performance of a request initiated by the data subject by a positive action (opening the chat) and legitimate interest in maintenance and security of the service. Users may close the chat at any time and request the deletion of data related to their interaction by writing to info@aton-tech.it.
Browser local storage
The website uses a few local storage entries (localStorage and sessionStorage) strictly necessary to operation and user preferences: the light/dark theme preference and a technical token, valid up to eight hours, generated after the anti-bot verification to avoid repeating it during the same session. No cookies or marketing identifiers are used. More details in the Cookie Policy.
Purpose of processing
Anonymous data collected via Umami is used solely to analyze aggregated website usage and improve content. Cloudflare Turnstile technical data is used solely for anti-bot protection. Conversational assistant content is used to provide the answer requested by the user and to ensure the security and quality of the service. No individual profiling or marketing activity is performed.
Rights of the data subject
The data subject has the right, under articles 15-22 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), to access their data, request rectification or erasure, object to processing, request restriction and portability, and lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
